Responsible network use
This Acceptable Use Policy protects customers, users, and communications systems. It applies to Broadlink Internet, voice, unified communications, managed-network, hosted, and related services, together with anyone who uses them through a customer account.
1. Lawful use
Services may be used only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the customer’s agreements, industry requirements, intellectual-property rights, privacy obligations, and applicable laws. Customers may not use a service to facilitate conduct they know or reasonably should know is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful.
2. Prohibited activities
Examples of prohibited activity include:
- unauthorized access, credential theft, account takeover, phishing, spoofing, or impersonation;
- malware, ransomware, denial-of-service activity, botnet control, vulnerability exploitation, or distribution of malicious code;
- spam, unlawful robocalling, unlawful texting, caller-ID manipulation, or communications that violate consent, do-not-call, or consumer-protection requirements;
- harassment, threats, exploitation, or distribution of unlawful content;
- infringement or misappropriation of copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, or other rights;
- interference with networks, services, equipment, spectrum, routing, numbering, or other users;
- circumvention of security, usage controls, service restrictions, or technical safeguards;
- fraudulent billing, payment, subscription, identity, traffic-generation, or revenue-share activity; and
- resale, sharing, or redistribution of service except as expressly authorized in writing.
3. Security and responsible administration
Customers must use reasonable safeguards for credentials, endpoints, routers, Wi-Fi, voice systems, administrative portals, and user access. Default passwords should be changed; former users should be removed promptly; and suspected compromise, toll fraud, unusual traffic, or unauthorized access should be reported without delay.
4. Network integrity and shared resources
Use may not materially degrade, disrupt, or endanger services, facilities, or other users. Where a service uses shared resources, the customer must not deliberately consume resources in a manner inconsistent with the purchased service or that creates a material and avoidable risk to the network. Service-specific traffic policies, if any, will be disclosed in the applicable order or network disclosure.
5. Email, calling, and messaging
Customers are responsible for the content, audience, consent records, calling lists, messaging campaigns, and legal compliance of communications sent through their services. Broadlink services may not be used to evade opt-out requests, originate misleading identity information, or conduct unlawful telemarketing or automated communications.
6. Investigations and protective action
Broadlink may investigate credible reports, preserve information as legally required, cooperate with lawful process, and take reasonable measures to protect services and users. Depending on the urgency and severity, action may include contacting the customer, rate limiting a harmful flow, blocking a specific threat, isolating compromised equipment, suspending an affected feature, or terminating service under the customer agreement.
Broadlink will seek to make protective action proportionate and targeted. Notice may be delayed or omitted when immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, emergency response, or legal compliance.
7. Reporting concerns
Report suspected abuse through Broadlink Support with the relevant account, service, date, time, source, destination, and technical evidence. Do not send passwords, complete payment-card data, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
8. Changes
Broadlink may update this policy to address new services, threats, or legal requirements. Material changes affecting an active service will be handled according to the applicable customer agreement and law.
